A Brown Betty is an easy, unpretentious dessert that comes together with pantry staples so you can have a sweet treat without a lot of fuss. Our Brown Betty is much the same! Just like the dessert she's named after, Betty is sweet as pie and all-American!
She's an 8 year old American Bulldog Mix who's had some rough times in her past and is looking for a loving family to call her own. She's been in foster care for a long time - close to a year!
Betty came to us with chemical burns across the top of her head and ears. This appears to be a result of living in a junk yard and spending lots of time hiding under old cars that dripped battery acid on her. It's likely that she was hiding from other dogs. Betty is still very wary of other animals in general and would love to be the only pet in your home.
Betty's tough, scarred exterior seems to be hiding the fact that she is an absolute love! She adores children and loves to cuddle. In her foster home Betty lives with a 7 year old and a 13 year old and is absolutely devoted to them both. Her favorite thing to do is lay on the bed with her girls for reading time...just don't leave any stuffed animals where she can get them!
Betty is an easy girl and a joy to have around. She is house trained, kennel trained, walks like an angel on leash and has excellent house manners. She would be the perfect addition to the right
family.
